Today was a strange one. I woke up with a burst of energy, remembering I needed to look some stuff up before I left. Then I got a terrible abdominal cramp that I couldn’t kick, so I decided to lay in bed for a bit. I woke up 2 hours later with a new jolt of energy. I used the momentum to leave as soon as I could.
About 3 hours down the road, I crashed. I had barely even made it to Detroit and I was already falling asleep. I promptly pulled over for a nap and hoped to myself that the third time really was the charm.
Needless to say, I made it to my campsite in Cuyahoga, Ohio. A lovely lakeside spot with circling hawks, the sound of fishermen headed in for the day and the wonderful smell of home cooked gluten free pasta with a goat cheese vodka sauce and a side salad with a lemon-squeeze for dressing.
Tomorrow, we hike!
If you are tired, take a break.
