I slept wonderfully. Waking up with the sun was just what I needed to kick all that jet lag from air travel. I ventured out to find some waterfalls, and Ohio did not disappoint.
The hikes were short, but I wanted to get going before all the free campsites were taken anyways. Driving through the Pennsylvanian countryside was calming enough to put me at another rest stop for a nap.
By the time I reached the Allegheny National Forest, all the “dispersed” campsites were gone and I was promptly told that freedom camping, dispersed camping or BLM camping in the National Forest are “not allowed and highly illegal in these parts of the US.”
